This week somewhere between half-time techno & dubstep - hope some of You are locked and join us in the chat! Based in the rather weird city of Wiesbaden, Germany - and therefore pretty remote from any decent music-scene of the country - S-Max has been very busy in adding to the local micro-scene; in particular by setting up Boogizm Records together with Manutchehr “FYM” Ghassemlou as well as by running the Superbleep-nights together with his mate, Playhouse’s dub-techno-pioneer, Lo Soul. As S-Max specialised in puzzling out half-time detroit-patterns, releases on labels such as Detroit-based 7th City Records and remixes for Ectomorph followed. Recently, he became quite influenced by dubstep, resulting in strangely sluggish versions of bass-heavy techno-steppers.

From August 7th, 2008 Dubsquare Radio will move to a weekly slot on London-based internet-radiostation Sub FM… each and every Thursday, 2-4pm GMT (15-17h CET). The opening show will feature Raz Marty & ChristoFX from Graz’s El Rakkas Crew, listen live here.

Whereas Play FM’s monthly Garage Sessions will be continued by Jay-S, there will be a monthly sound/text-podcast called Dub Central on Radio Orange 94.0 every last Friday of the month.
